Terms of Use

Last updated 25 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Much when you use the Much app or this website. Please read them; they're written to be clear. By creating an account or using Much, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Much.

Who you're agreeing with

Much is run by Zeyad Abdelwahab, based in Cairo, Egypt ("Much", "we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@getmuch.app. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and is part of these terms.

Who can use Much

You need to be at least 16, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms. You need an account to use the app. Keep your sign-in details safe, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens in your account.

What Much is, and what it isn't

Much helps you record and understand your spending and your eating. It is a personal tracking tool.

  • Much is not a bank, a wallet or a payment service. It doesn't hold your money, move it, or connect to your bank accounts. Balances in Much are what you enter.
  • Much doesn't give financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Savings ideas and insights are general ideas based on your own records, not advice for your situation.
  • Much doesn't give medical advice. Calories, nutrients, plans and health notes are general information. They don't diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and they aren't a substitute for a doctor or a registered dietitian. Talk to a professional before changing your diet, especially if you're pregnant, have a health condition or a history of eating disorders.

AI features and estimates

Much uses AI to read what you write, say or photograph, and to explain your numbers. AI can be wrong: it may misread an amount, a merchant or a food, and food values are estimates. That's why Much shows you what it read before anything is saved. Please check entries before you approve them; you're responsible for what you save.

Totals, averages and comparisons are calculated from what you logged, so they're only as accurate as your entries.

Your content

What you log, including text, voice notes, photos and files, stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it, and to send it to our service providers as described in the Privacy Policy, only to run Much for you. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from the short time it takes to remove it from backups.

Only upload things you have the right to use, and don't upload other people's personal information without their permission.

Using Much fairly

Please don't:

  • break the law with Much, or use it to harm or harass anyone;
  • try to access other people's accounts or data, or our systems beyond what the app allows;
  • copy, reverse-engineer, scrape or resell Much, or disrupt it (for example with bots or excessive requests);
  • use Much's AI features to create content that's illegal, hateful or misleading.

Some features, especially AI ones, have fair-use limits so Much stays fast and free for everyone. If you reach one, the app tells you, and logging by hand always keeps working.

Price

Much is free to download and use. If we ever offer optional paid features, we'll show the price and what's included before you buy, and nothing is charged without your clear confirmation. Purchases would go through the App Store or Google Play, under their payment terms; subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Logging stays free, and anything you set up while Much is free stays yours.

Our content

Much's app, website, name, logo, design and software belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the store's rules. Some parts of Much use open-source software and artwork under their own licenses.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.

Other services

Much works with services run by others, such as Sign in with Apple, Google sign-in and our AI providers. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we're not responsible for those services.

Changes to Much and these terms

Much will keep changing: we may add, change or remove features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using Much after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.

Ending your account

You can stop using Much and delete your account at any time in Settings › Delete account; your data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or if the law requires it. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.

No warranties

We work hard to keep Much accurate, safe and available, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that Much will always be available or error-free, or that its estimates and insights will be accurate or suit your needs. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data you could have exported, or decisions you make based on Much's estimates or insights. Since Much is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to EGP 1,000 or, if you paid us anything in the past 12 months, the amount you paid. These limits don't apply to liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo will handle disputes, unless the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim in your own courts or under your own law. Before going to court, please write to us; most problems can be solved quickly.

App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded Much from Apple's App Store:

  • These terms are between you and Much, not Apple. Much, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app; any other claims, losses or costs from a failure to meet a warranty are Much's responsibility, to the extent the law requires.
  • Much, not Apple, is responsible for any claims you or others have about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
  • If someone claims the app infringes their intellectual property, Much, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
  • You confirm that you're not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you're not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must also follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile carrier's.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

If you downloaded Much from Google Play, Google Play's Terms of Service also apply to your use of the store, and Google is not responsible for the app.
